Aubaine loves food !

I tasted the Veggie Menu @ Aubaine High Street Kensington

Running all day, being tired - I need healthy food - I am not a veggie but I know that vegetarian food is healthy and can be tasty. At Aubaine, the Head Chef managed to create a tasty and voluptuous menu that was only available at the High Street Kensington branch.

12:30pm Friday 7th of June 2013

That day I had only half an hour to relax and have a proper lunch break. I decided to taste the veggie menu. I choose the Cauliflower Soup as a starter and then the Aubergine Millefeuille.

Will this be enough ? Will it be tasty ? Again I am not a veggie, and I am always hungry.

Waouh, it is super tasty. The soup tastes like heaven ! With a little bit of pesto sauce and olive oil on the top and a home made crostini, ''c'est le mariage parfait des saveurs'' !

I was a bit sceptical about the Aubergine Millefeuille as this vegetable is sometimes too heavy due to the amount of olive oil it can absorb. But not this time.

The millefeuille was made with courgettes (yellow and green), red peppers and parfumed with pesto & olive oil sauce. It tasted like South of France, exaclty where the sun is out ! I needed a bit of sun at that moment of the day. This dish made this day become a happy Friday !

I recommend this menu to all the vegetarians and to all the foodies that are keen on having a veggie break during the week. I know how hard it is to find a proper veggie menu in London so we are working on the second edition. I willkeep you posted of course !

The food, wine and service were utterly faultless and as for the interior… I want my whole house to look like that! While you won’t find Aubaine everywhere (it’s not Pizza Express people) there are a fair few all over London. So next time you’re in town, I’d highly recommend getting yourself to the nearest one… and ordering the Sea Bass.
