Weekend in Dorset - Lulworth, Paradise Weekend

Last weekend we decided to escape to Dorset. Why? Because I saw some pictures of Lulworth Cove ages ago and since then was dying to see if this was real !

Dorset – Lulworth Cove – Paradise weekend

After a three hours drive on the wrong side of the road (for me the Frenchy !!) we arrived in Lulworth, very small town situated at just 2 miles form THE famous cove.

We decided to rent a cottage and we turned up into a Chapel converted into a three bedroom house with a big garden! What a nice surprise, St Mary’s Chapel was welcoming and charming.

Saturday was a sunny day, which meant French pic -nic on the beach.

You have to be aware that  it is not an sandy beach – but still – it is amazingly beautiful, and relaxing.  Then landscape is a perfect mix between Nice (in the south of France) and Normandy …

Before going back home we had a drink at this lovely four stars Bed and Breakfast, The Bishop Cottage, and booked a table for dinner. We really wanted to taste the local seafood, we all had scallops as starters, it was amazingly good and tasty.

As a main we all had mussels, some had the ‘’ Moules Marinière’’ and others choose to go wild and have the mussels with cider and bacon. Both were very good. What a break!

I really recommend Lulworth for a small break out of the Swinging London, it is peaceful and breath-taking.

What bloggers say about us
The food, wine and service were utterly faultless and as for the interior… I want my whole house to look like that! While you won’t find Aubaine everywhere (it’s not Pizza Express people) there are a fair few all over London. So next time you’re in town, I’d highly recommend getting yourself to the nearest one… and ordering the Sea Bass.
